Our partners in Uganda

At the basis of Stick2Uganda is our heart for Uganda and our partners and projects there. Our travels and activities are only possible in partnership with our Ugandan partners.

Together with them, we give shape to our trips and educational programs.

In addition, there is a special contact with the Female Campus of IUIU and her director Dr. Madinah Nabukera. The S2U ambassadors of 2017, 2019 and 2023 stayed on campus for several days and nights. In 2029 and 2023, the S2U Business Award Program was implemented at IUIU Female campus. S2U and IUIU are jointly investigating how this collaboration can be continued.

Kumi

Jonathan van Schoonhoven and Sjaak Meertens have been our S2U contacts in Uganda for years. Both are also involved in a hospital, farm, garage and bakery in KUMI. Projects that are supported by Rietveld and van Dorp.

Childrens' Foundation Uganda

In Uganda we work together with the Children's Foundation Uganda. This is a local foundation that is committed to the development of the community in Kyazanga. Eddie Kayinda, with his foundation and family, takes care of the organization and maintenance of a private Islamic primary school and the farm.

Parents who have their children at the school are encouraged to set up small businesses. S2U supports this with microcredits. Eddie Kayinda tries to strengthen the community in this way. Childrens ' Foundation Uganda (CFU) brings children from the community to school by bus and gives them a meal from their own garden at lunchtime. S2U supports CFU in this with its network and with project donations. CFU is at the heart of the community. During visits to Kyazanga, our ambassadors get a unique view of the Ugandan countryside and local communities.

Vincent and Justine

Stick2Uganda is only possible because of the hospitality and dedication of our Ugandan partners. Our very first connection in Uganda were Vincent and Justine, local entrepreneurs with a pineapple and coffee farm. From our first trip, they have welcomed our ambassadors with open arms and housed them at their home in Massaka.

During their stay in Massaka, the ambassadors have the opportunity to learn about life and community in rural Uganda. Vincent and Justine play an important role within our foundation, and are a place where we and our ambassadors can always go.
